Q: My 1994 nissan sentra wont turn over?
I replaced the fuel pump, filter, and relay. I spray carb starter into the carb and it will start but just dies when I stop spraying it in. Should the fuel pump, pump the fuel to the engine right away or does it take it awhile to do that maybe? I'm pretty stuck does anyone have an idea? the new fuel pump works it turns on I can hear it but still seams like it doesnt want to send fuel

A: hi the car isnt firing not turning over..you have a spark because it fires when using fuel substitute.. take of a fuel inlet line turn the ignition on cheak to c any fuel if theres not you have a pump fault still.. can u here a pump noise when u turn ignition on?? if u can have you go any fuel in or the lines onthe wrong way..

Q: Is there a V6 engine for a 1994 Nissan Sentra?
I have a 1994 nissan sentra and im thinking about puting more power in it. Is there a place or online store where I can find a V6 eninge for my car? and if so, would I have to change any other parts under my hood that goes with the V6 engine? please answer and thank you!!

A: You can find out if a Sentra had a V6 as an option at www.edmunds.com. But I doubt that it did. The Altima had just come online the previous year and I don't think it even had a V6 available.

Q: Brake light and Battery light stays on in a 1994 Nissan Sentra?
I got the battery tested and it is charged and ok,. Then I cleaned the terminals and greased them up. Car started, ran strong for 5 minutes and 2 miles. Stopped the car. Went out to start it and the car wont turn over, even though battery is at 12.65 volts..Any ideas

A: did you check to see if you alternator belt is tight.take it to auto zone and they can probably tell you.

Q: Possible Skyline Engine for a 1994 Nissan Sentra?
A buddy and myself were talking about how to make my cousins 1994 Nissan Sentra faster.. and one of the crazy ideas that came up were "Put a Skyline Engine in it". Is that even possible and if so which specific Skyline engine could be used in that tiny Sentra?

A: First off, the skyline engine is just about as big as the car (yes I exaggerated a little but u get my point). Bottom line is the cost of the engine 2500 and the mods just to the body to get it to fit is not worth the cost. Now if you have that kind of cash, its easier to just buy one. Motorex in CA imports Skylines and does the conversion to meet US Standards (reason they are illegal). That was the expensive route. The cheeap route is to add a cold air intake, complete exhaust (from header to muffler). This route your looking at about 1500 for descent upgrades. Good luck

Q: i need a radio wire diagram for a 1994 nissan sentra?
i am installing a radio system in my 1994 sentra, It has 3 red wirtes. I do not know which one is the hot . Also the wire connection is some hoe hooked up with the dash light. Which wire is the dash and which is the hot. If anyone knows what all the wires are, please provide me something where i can foolow a diagram

A: Get a Haynes or Chilton manual, and rewire to the original wiring. Personally I hate idiots that play around with wiring like your previous owner did!

Q: What kind of fuses does a 1994 Nissan Sentra use?
The power locks won't work, the windows(except the driver window) and the washer fluid won't work

A: You can get these fuses at any auto parts store but you can tell if the fuse is bad by looking to see if connection inside is solid. Unfortunately, fuses blow because of an overload due to another component going bad. If the fuses aren't bad, they are not the problem and it could be a relay or bad window motors, bad washer motor or bad power lock system.

Q: What size tires does a 1994 nissan sentra have through the manufacture?


A: 195/60/15 you had to upgrade to the 16 inch rims. :o)

A: Similar thing happened to me once; I've changed fuel pump as well as many other things, and didn't solve the problem. At the end I've realized that I've ran out of petrol and that my fuel gauge was inaccurate (showing half full tank). Be sure that it's not something stupid as this before you start spending money.

Q: How much will it be to replace the front brakes and rotors in a 1994 nissan sentra?
Its quite obvious that both severely need to be replaced. :(

A: If you know of someone who can do it for you, it shouldn't be more than 100$ or so. Rotors can run from 20$ and more. Pads will usually be 40$ or more from a parts store. I always use Advance Auto. They are reasonable and almost always have what I need. You can go to they're website and check actual prices. I've had many people ask me to do their brakes because the brake shop(national chain stores) wanted 400$ and more to replace rotors and pads.

Q: my 1994 nissan sentra fuel filter. Where is it located exectly and how do i change it???
it is my girlfriends car so i dont want to screw it up... could anyone tell me EXACTLY where the fuel filer is located on her 1994 nissan sentra and how do i change it???

A: It's under the hood, just disconnect the lines and remove it and install the new one, if you cant handle that, I would take it to a shop and let a Professional replace it for you.

Q: Looking for a car stereo speaker wiring diagram for a 1994 Nissan Sentra?

The chassis/clip has been removed (by previous owner) and all that is left is the wires. All that is needed is a list of the colors and what they go to. Thanks.

Q: How do i replace starter on 1994 Nissan Sentra?
Put key in ignition, but motor won't turn. Don't think its the battery. Where is the starter located? How do i go about replacing it? how do i know if its the starter that giving me the problem and not something else?

A: I'm not sure on an automatic transmission (although it is likely the same location) but on the manual transmission vehicle, the start is located off the transmission housing. You might want to check a few other areas before ripping out the starter though. - When you turn the key, do any electrical features work (head lights, radio, etc...)? - Have you tried jumping the battery? - Have you checked the fuses in the fuse panel for a blown fuse? On my 1985 Sentra, I had a problem with the key assembly so that the contacts didn't touch (basically the assembly was worn out). I can't recall the exact method my father showed me but I was able to set the key to the "on" position and touch a wire from the battery to one of the posts on the starter to bypass the faulty key assembly until I bought a new assembly. NOTE: If you try this, make sure the car is in neutral or it will move on you.

Q: jacking bolts for 1994 nissan sentra brake disk ?
Anyone know what size? On some models the rotor has two threaded holes that go all the way through the rotor. When you torque the right size bolts into the holes it forces the rotor off the hub.

A: What's a jacking bolt? If you mean the wheel lug nuts, then they are usually about 19mm, or 21mm.

Q: my girlfriends 1994 nissan sentra stalls after about 5 seconds of idling and will cut out if you touch the gas
it was running fine before she went to work, it was kinda cold out, about 37 degrees, and when she came out of work to start her car, it started then started bucking and it will stall after about 5-10 seconds... if you touch the gas it will just cut out... what could it be??

A: could be something with the fuel pump, filter, sensor. sounds to me like its not getting any gas. i just had my fuel pump replaced last week, but mine just stalled when it was running and wouldnt start again. good luck. hope its not as much as my 500 dollar bill. :)
