Q: Is a FJ cruiser a good car? Compare to the Nissan Frontier (2005-2008)?
For an 18 year old guy

A: no it has terrible visibility problems and blind spots the Nissan is much more practical.

A: good luck with the cruiser it only gets about 17MPG on average. That sucks. If that is not your concern than there is no doubt the cruiser is better. The cruiser is a SUV and the Frontier is a truck I believe so that is another consideration depending on your needs. Good luck.

A: Power: Frontier (if V6 equipped). But the Colorado is not underpowered, both the 4 and 5 cylinder engines have plenty of power to use if you use them as compact trucks are meant to be used. The V6 Frontier, however, is much stronger, no doubt. Fuel Economy: Colorado. The newer Frontiers are much larger and heavier than the Colorado, you'll be lucky to get 16 mpg out of a V6 Frontier. Reliablity/Build Quality: Draw. Nissan's quality has slipped over the past few years while GM's has risen. Take care of either and they should last. The Colorado is the noisier than the Frontier, though. Style/Interior/Exterior: Frontier. Not as much cheap plastic as the Colorado, but we are talking trucks here. Value: Colorado. While the Froniter is larger, has more room, and more power, you're going to pay for it. The Colorado is a good compact truck for the money. Overall: Slight edge to the Frontier if price is no concern.

A: Frontier fosho. UNless you are only going with the 2wd. Then I'd go pathfinder. But that 4wd Frontiers are SICK!! THey have a great suspension, and an excellent motor.

A: Depends on which engine you are looking at. The V6 models get terrible gas mileage.. and the 4cyl with auto trans arent much better. I average 34mpg with my 5 speed 4cyl frontier. If your looking for fuel economy then you must get the manual transmission 4cyl. Even with the manual 4cyl the mileage you get will depend upon how you drive.

A: that would be real close on that one right there,i have looked at both vehicle specs,and that one would be too close to call,if it were me id take the dodge ,but Nissan's are really dependable,i still like the dodges though,if you went to each one of the sites on both of these id say they would be really close,but from what i seen the dodge would come out a winner in this one,especially with the life time warranty on them,that's impossible to beat,Nissan doesn't have that yet,good luck on it.

Q: 2008 Nissan Frontier Nismo interior lights out? ?
I changed the bulb in the back last week and it sparked and afterwards all of my interior lights were out, including my cargo lamp. However when I checked none of the fuses were burnt. What could be the problem?

A: I had the exact same thing happen in my 2000 Frontier when I'd had it about 2 years. No one ever figured it out and I had to get mini-moon lights so I could see the interior of my car at night. Never did get fixed! Good luck though....

A: Get the dodge, that nissan is not a good truck. The Dakota has all you are looking for and is not a rust bucket like the nissan.

Q: Should i buy a 2008 Nissan Frontier XE?
It lacks a radio,air conditioning, has smaller tires, and no chrome bumper than a Nissan Frontier SE. But couldnt i buy bigger tires, get the chrome bumper, and get a deck? Wouldnt they be the same size cars then?

A: You have a good idea there. I too have thought about buying a lower model and upgrading the different parts myself. I would suggest going with the SE. Save your pennies and buy one that is put together right by Nissan. Sometimes there are more differences than those that meet the eye. Having said that, if the deal on the XE is too good to pass up, then I say go for it. You can make the changes as you so choose over time. Buying a Frontier is a win-win situation. Take care.
