Q: Squeaking noise in cabin of 2002 Nissan Frontier?
I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab and squeaking is primarily in the back. Squeaking noise appears once I hit >50mph. I'm thinking it is either the headliner or the back window that might be a little loose somewhere (no leaks when it rains/truck is washed). A little help please.

Q: If you own or know someone that has a Nissan Frontier?
If you own or know someone that has a Nissan Frontier LE Crew Cab (four doors). How do you like it? Any problems? I heard it has bumpy ride. I am considering buying either Nissan Frontier or the Jeep Commander.
A: Go a head and buy the fro inter it is a solid truck, strong engine transmission.
No problems with performance or reliability, the ride is a little choppy but the truck is rigid.
The only concern I have about the truck is they sometimes leek antifreeze from intake manifold have that checked out really well

Q: Should I pay ~175 dollars to have my Nissan Frontier drive belts replaced?
I have a 2003 Nissan Frontier - The dealership says it's ~$155 for the parts (the A/C belt, the alternator belt, power steering) and the rest for labor. Does the total amount ~$175 (including shop fees and tax) sound reasonable?
I am going to ask that the old belts be provided to me after they complete the job. Does anyone else have anything I need to look out for/ask?
A: I have found aftermarket belts to be either to long or just a bit short. Any way if Nissan Does the work it is warrantied for 1 year 12,000 miles. See if you can get Billy Bob at the corner gas station to do it.
Q: Hignbeam indicator light on 2000 nissan frontier not working ?
2000 nissan frontier hign beam indicator light not lit when high beam is on. Removed cluster and replaced bulb with working bulb, still not working when highbeam is engaged. The highbeam works but no indicator light. Fuses are not blown.
A: That's odd. Have you swapped out the combination switch (lever for the lights, blinkers, etc...) Other than that, I'm not sure.
Q: Nissan Titan wheels fit on a Nissan Frontier?
I have a chance to buy a nice set of wheels off of a nissan titan and I am not sure if they will fit my 05 Nissan frontier, does anybody know for sure? Thanks!
A: technically they will fit, bet they will not bolt up. you will need custom spacers. the titan bolt pattern is not the same as the 05 -07 frontier. however, the frontier shares it's bolt pattern with the 05- current xterra, 05- current pathfinder, and some dodge trucks.
Q: I want to install power locks on my 2006 Nissan Frontier?
I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier, and I have no power windows or locks. Right now, I'm hoping to find some kind of kit to install the power locks. Where can I get this kit from? Can I get it from Nissan? Costs?
A: Nissan does not have a retro fit for power locks. Nissan Frontier 2005 had a recall for the door becoming unlatched in a accident. That aftermarket lock actulator is installed by cutting the lock and unlock cable to install aftermarket door lock actulator is just dangerious and then if you break a door latch the technician has to deal with the aftermarket stuff or call in the power lock installer to cut up the lock cable. There is the reason to buy the most loaded car you can for around 50 more a month you would have power locks and windows and upgraded radio. So far I have seen several aftermarket lock and power window installs all seem to work just as long as you only use the power lock keyless entry fob.
Q: Is it possible to upgrade the trip computer on a 2006 Nissan Frontier SE?
I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier and the trip computer only has "Trip A" and "Trip B" mileage. I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade the computer so that it also displayed MPG, etc. like the higher models.
A: You would have to replace the instrument cluster and wiring harness, plus the brain for it. A real hassle and extensive knowledge of a Nissan.

Q: How concerned should I be about using a infant safety seat in a 2006 Nissan Frontier King Cab ?
We're expecting a baby in October, and I currently drive this Nissan extended cab. The manual details the infant safety seat guidelines, and an extension is installed at the base of the rear "jumpseat". It just looks kind of "rigged", and maybe not the ideal. I'm curious about real world experience with infant seats in mid-sized extended cab (not crew) pickups like the Frontier. Thanks !
Based on the 1st response to this question, let me clarify. I'm not asking whether to use a seat or not, that's a given (duh). I'm inquiring into experiences with this vehicle and rear facing infant car seats in the small seats of extended cabs. This question is based on the fact, that even seeing the instructions on how it's done, it doesn't look that great...and I'm likely to change vehicles because of it. I'd simply like to hear some real world experiences with these trucks and carseats. Hopefully this will help avoid the type of response we started with here. Thanks.
A: If the manufacturer recommends a certain installation technique, you can bet the farm it has been studied and is the safest way to install the seat. Don't mess with your baby's life.
Q: Is there a better truck out there than the Nissan Frontier?
I looked into the Toyota Tacoma, the Ford Ranger, and the Chevy Colorado, but none of those trucks have as much power and torque as the 2007 Nissan Frontier. If I wanted a bigger truck, I would look into the new Tundra, the Nissan Titan and the new GMC Sierra/Chevy Silverado. But I want a compact truck with four doors and a powerful V6. If there is a better truck out there, please let me know.

I bought a Black 06 nissan frontier nismo 4x4 king cab. I was just courious what other peopls thoughts were on this truck. I was going to buy a 06 toyota tocoma trd 4x4 king cab but the nissans was 4 g's cheaper, has more horse power and torque, got really good reviews, (the only reason the tocoma got mid size truck of the year was because of the name) but anywho, whats your thoughts.
A: I love nissan. I had a 2000 and I modifies mine up and down. Best thing I ever did was a cold air snorkle and had the more test sealed. its a blast. horse power great

We purchased our 6 cylinder 265 horsepower Nissan Frontier last year, and it's been quite a surprise for a mid size truck. We wanted a standard to pull our camper which ways about 5000, and we didn't even know it was back there. The gas mileage while pulling was quite impressive also... I was just wondering how many other people out there are as pleased with their Frontier as we have been. We have also gotten gutsy and raced a few from red lights and have surprised us and them..... What a great looking truck and awesome power....

I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner XE. The tires on it right now are not stock (off-road tires) and ride a little bit too rough in the city. What size and type of tires would be the best all-around tires (and more comfortable) for city/highway driving?

Q: How much boost can a 1998 Nissan Frontier handle?
A friend of mine has a 98 Frontier and was asking how much boost could he put on the factory motor. Also he wanted to know what would be better, Supercharged or Turbocharged. His motor is the KA24 DOHC 2.4L in-line 4. The same motor as the Nissan 240SX. Any help would be appreciated.
A: The motor sucks. I own a 95 240sx and hydro locked my motor (my stupidity). If he wants more HP and has a Ka motor in it I do not see any reason the SR20DETT wouldn't fit. 325hp at the wheel. Its the JDM motor that comes stock in Japanese 240sx'x(silvias)
